This template includes 3 homepage options:
  • To use the default homepage, move the "OPTIONAL-No-Animation-Home.htm" and "OPTIONAL-Home.htm" into the "extras" folder.

  • To use the no animation homepage, move the "index.html" and "OPTIONAL-Home.htm" into the "extras" folder. Rename the "OPTIONAL-No-Animation-Home.htm" to "index.html".

  • To use the OPTIONAL-Home, (includes no lower text area) move the "index.html" and "OPTIONAL-No-Animation-Home.htm" into the "extras" folder. Rename the "OPTIONAL-Home.htm" to "index.html".
Step 2:
EDIT HEADER: | More details | About jQuery includes
Edit the "logo.png" in the picts folder with your logo image. The header background HEX color can be found in the "style.css" file. A "logo.PSD" file is located in the "extras" folder. The default logo font used is 40 points "Trajan Pro" with a letter spacing of -0.5.

The header is a jQuery "include" in the "includes" folder named "header.htm". See options below for the right side header icons.

OPTIONAL PLAIN TEXT HEADER: To use the text header option: In the "includes" folder, rename the "header.htm" to "header-GRAPHIC.htm", rename the "header-TEXT-LOGO.htm" to "header.htm". Edit the text "YOUR WEBSITE TITLE" in the "header.htm" with your site name.

Step 3:
EDIT COPYRIGHT: | More details
In the "includes" folder, open the "footer.htm" in Notepad or any text editor. Near the bottom of this file edit the "Yourcompany.com" text with your name or company name. This will update the footer info on all pages. This file is a jQuery "include" file. Click link above for details.

Step 4:
EDIT CONTACT INFO: | More details
In the "includes" folder, open the "contact-info.htm" in Notepad or any text editor file and change the company name, address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address (edit the email in 2 places). This will update the contact info on the contact page. The "contact-info.htm" is a jQuery include. This info is in a jQuery include file to help prevent spam emails. Click link above for details.

Step 5:
EDIT THE CONTACT AND QUOTES FORM:

Click for current info on setting up the template forms.

Click for info on adding more fields to the forms.

Click for changing form sizes or colors.

NO FORM OPTION: If you DO want to use the contact form, move the "No-Form-contact.htm" into the "extras" folder. If you want to NOT use a form on the contact page, move the "contact.htm" into the extras folder and re-name the "No-Form-contact.htm" to "contact.htm" or you can optionally rename the "staff.htm" to "contact.htm".

QUOTES FORM: Because of the complexity of setting up the quote form, there are notes in the "quotes.htm" to help you cut and paste to add new form fields. The form will work with most contact form scripts however you will need help files or a sample form from the script you intend to use. Most form elements work the same way from script to script, however the hidden values usually vary. You may want to consider editing the entire page in Notepad or a plain text editor instead of a wysiwyg editor.

The Media Queries Responsive Code

More details | MQs in this template control many parts of each webpage to conform for mobile and tablet. The responsive MQs css classes are located in the "media-queries.css". 3 stages are used for max screen widths of 890, 740 and 482. As the browser width is made more narrow and each "stage" width threshold is reached, code defined in the "media-queries.css" will take effect changing the webpage layout. You can edit these sizes in the "media-queries.css" using any plain text editor.

The "media-queries.css" is for mobile and includes some of the same class names as the "style.css" to alter these classes as the browser width becomes more narrow.

The "menu-styles.css" has MQs at the bottom of the file used only for the menu. The menu does not use classes in the "media-queries.css" as a general rule, although you can use classes in any of the .css style files for the menu.

The right sidebar is setup to not display on mobile using "#sidebar-content display: none;" in the "media-queries.css".

When editing any font sizes in this template you will need to edit the class in the "style.css", then edit the duplicate class in the "media-queries.css" to setup the mobile font sizes. See responsive support details.
